HOW GET HERE

Transport.

Air New Zealand fly from Christchurch to Wanaka daily. Shuttle buses run daily from Christchurch (6hrs), Dunedin (4hrs) and Queenstown (1hr via Queenstown airport). The local Wanaka Connexions shuttle bus will greet you at Queenstown airport and provide a ‘door to door’ service. 

Directions.

When you arrive in Wanaka from Christchurch, The West Coast, Cromwell or Dunedin - stay on the main road keeping the lake on your right hand side. You will see Wanaka Homestead on the right hand side exactly 1.5km after the town centre and log-cabin information centre. 

If arriving from Queenstown via the Crown Range (Cardrona valley road), the road will end at a T junction with Lake Wanaka directly in front of you. Turn left at the T junction and proceed for 900m. Wanaka Homestead is on the right hand side.
